"I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."

— Gospel of John 8:12 (KJV)

May 2026 — A monthly reflection on community, service, and impact

The Divinebod Foundation exists to be a beacon of encouragement, service, and opportunity within our community. Just as light guides the way through darkness, our mission is to help illuminate paths for those who may need support, resources, or encouragement along their journey.

Through programs that focus on accessibility, wellness, and community outreach, we aim to uplift individuals and remind them that no one has to walk their path alone.

We believe that when we help others see possibility, strength, and independence in their own lives, we reflect the very light that inspires this mission.

A Founder's Light

May Message from Otis Bartlett

Otis Bartlett - Founder

April was a month we will never forget. On April 25, our community gathered at the National Museum of African American History & Culture for an experience that touched every single person who walked through those doors. From the weight of history in the lower levels to the joy and celebration in the culture galleries above, we witnessed something sacred together.

I watched children see themselves represented in exhibits for the first time. I watched elders share stories they had never spoken aloud. I watched strangers become family over collard greens in the Sweet Home Cafe. That is what The Divinebod Foundation is about — creating moments where people feel seen, valued, and connected.

And now, we keep the momentum rolling — literally. On May 30, we are hosting Built to Roll: Where Everyone Belongs at Skate Zone Odenton. Classic cars through 1980, over 50 trophies, roller skating, door prizes, and a space where everyone — from car enthusiasts to first-time skaters — can come together and belong.

Our May goal is $5,000 — and we are already at $2,100. Every dollar goes directly toward trophies, venue support, prizes, and the programs that make these gatherings possible. I believe we will reach it, because I believe in this community.

Thank you for being the light. Let's roll into May together.

With gratitude and purpose,

Otis Bartlett
